In a bid to better inform and educate the public about matters in the various sectors of Maritime, Transport and the General Economy as well as from the sporting world, a group of journalists in the Maritime sector has teamed up to come up with a well articulated, exciting, factual and balanced Magazine .
The Prime Suave Magazine is the new work being published by the Association of Nigerian Catholic Maritime Journalists otherwise known as ANCAMAJ Communications. The Magazine has been conceived for months now, but its publication and launch took place Thursday at Apapa, Lagos.

Some high profile persons were at the occasion to support and add colour to the event. The chairman of the day was Mr. Emeka Enwelu, a seasoned Customs Licenced Agent with over 25 years of experience in the sector. The special guest of honour was Comptroller Dera Anselm Nnadi, the highly cerebral Customs Area Controller of the Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigerian Customs Service who was represented by Christian Ugochukwu. The president of the Save Nigeria Group, Chief Osita Chukwu was also at the event as well as others.
The event began with the president of the association, Alfred Omenihu who stated the history and the objectives of the association, noting that “Our motto, “…Moving the Mandate Forward,” encapsulates our mission as media professionals, to news dissemination, agenda setting, public relations, and the conferment of status. Furthermore, we feel a responsibility, as trained researchers, to foster the growth of fellow laypersons, particularly in the face of the numerous distractions prevalent in the 21st century. Our primary values lay in enlightenment, awareness, and the consolidation of faith through research, publications, and motivational/enlightenment programmes”.

He went further ” We have made a firm promise to ourselves that we will continue to move the mandate forward. Prime Suave magazine is a general interest quarterly magazine, with more concentration in Maritime activities. The magazine is really loaded with a plethora of serendipity”.
The occasion was anchored by Dili Utomi and Sandra Ukele and the chairman of the occasion, Mr. Enwelu used the opportunity to advise the association to try and live up to its core mandates as well as seeking excellence in all its ramifications. Mr. Enwelu says that our country needs committed men and women who will stand for a cause and do what is right in order that we may move away from the present economic, social and political quagmire plaguing us as a nation.
On his part, the representative of the special guest, Christian Ugochukwu advises the association to keep the flag flying and never to be deterred by the present economic realities, he also added that the core values for which the association set up this publication should never be deviated from.
The Launch
Chief Osita Chukwu contributed his part and said that the coming together of members of this association is for a noble course and advised that they should be shining examples at all times for other journalists to emulate.
Thereafter, the launch proper took place and some of the invited guests used the opportunity to announce their support for the publication.
The Prime Suave Magazine is a general interest, quarterly piece that is set to reawaken the consciousness of the reading public on matters that are of concern to the Maritime sector in particular and Nigeria in general.
