NAGAFF, has warned her over 50,000 members spread across the country & the General public against getting involved either remotely or directly in the impending August Protest.

Speaking in Lagos on Monday, NAGAFF President, High Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, advised her numerous members and  the General Public to sheath their swords & give Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, more time to deliver his electoral promises that is anchored on Renewed Hope.

Acknowledging that they have a right to protest as enshrined in our country’s constitution, they should also note that they do not have the right to destabilise the country.

He stated that Mr President inherited a near comatose economy & has been doing his best since assumption of office & therefore should be supported.

He also stated that the economic recession being experienced today is not peculiar to our country alone.

He warned the potential trouble makers to positively engage government in dialogue instead of resorting to the unconventional means of agitation that is guided by inordinate ambitions, especially those of their sponsors.

He also warned those making unguided statements to desist from doing so as such words have the potency of further polarising our country.

He also advised Mr President to quickly put measures in place to mitigate the sufferings currently being experienced in the country.

He advocates for a drastic reduction in the cost of governance especially the affluent lifestyle of public servants & Political appointees.

His words “Govt should also increase her premium on Education & Security across the country. Farmers need to have the confidence of government in tackling the security situation so that they can return to their farms”.

Speaking further He said “Government on the interim should also consider reopening the land borders for massive food importation to crash the skyrocketing prices of food items”.

“They should also ensure the drastic reduction in the prices of Petroleum products”.

He agreed that Hunger is a major issue in the land & people are cashing in on it to forment trouble. He maintained that Trouble will do no one any good.

He consequently advised all NAGAFF members & the general public to remain law -abiding as Rome was not built in a day.
