Enconmiums, accolades and a flurry of praises continue to be poured on the Customs Area Controller of the Tincan Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Dera Anselm Nnadi and his Apapa Command colleague, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu both who were awarded different honours at the just concluded CGC’s Award Night in Abuja.
One recalls that at the event which happened on Friday the 29th of November, Nnadi and Olomu shown brilliantly under the klieg lights as they were handed different awards in various categories. Nnadi won one award and Olomu won three and many stakeholders have been praising these two gentlemen for their acheivements.
The most recent of the encouragement to the officers is coming from the president of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Chief Tochukwu Ezisi who said of Comptroller Nnadi “Comptroller Dera Nnadi is charismatic, tenacious and focused, his knowledge of the rudiments of Customs operations and administration is second to none and his human relations characteristics are great foundations that have guided his work wherever he has been stationed. He has always shown good qualities both as an officer and a human being”.

His words “Comptroller Babatunde Olomu is also a very intelligent and hardworking officer with such a laser guided focus on reaching new horizons and setting new standards. His friendly mien endears him to people, but his professional touch marks him as a thoroughbred achiever. I have no doubt in my mind that these two fine officers will continue to bring out their best as these awards would spur them further to do more”.
Comptrollers Dera Anselm Nnadi and Babatunde Olomu are presently heading the two biggest Commands under the Nigeria Customs Service. Last week, Comptroller Nnadi declared that his Command has generated over ₦1.12 trillion naira in revenue from January to the period while his Apapa counterpart, Comptroller Olomu also at the same period declared that his Command has generated over ₦2 trillion naira for this year and as at that moment. The two Commands combined generate about 60 percent of all annual revenues from the Service.
