Comptrollers Nnadi and Olomu.

It is a flurry of enconmiums as more and more stakeholders praise the choices of several officers singled out for awards at the recently concluded CGC’s Award Night which took place in Abuja on Friday, the 29th of December.

This time, it is the turn of the Deputy National President (Seaport) of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Chief Afam Chukwuma to congratulate the Customs Area Controller of the Tincan Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Dera Anselm Nnadi on being awarded at the event.

The commendation given to Comptroller Nnadi by Chief Chukwuma signifies the larger outpouring of enconmiums on Comptroller Nnadi as one of the very best performing CACs in terms of delivering on the core mandates of the Service.

He said of Comptroller Nnadi ” Comptroller Nnadi has the cool demeanour of a cat mixed with a lot of natural sagacity that gives him some edge while handling all affairs at his Command. Comptroller Nnadi is also a well known public relations person and this has also really been brought to bear on the way he deals with every stakeholder that goes to him for the resolution of any dispute that may have come from the whole processes of freight forwarding.

Chief Afam equally poured accolades on the Customs Area Controller of the Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu who received three (3) awards on the night. He said of him “As for Comptroller Olomu, his assiduous approach to issues is well known resulting in the kind of record performances that he has churned out over the less than one year period that he has been at the helms of affairs at the Apapa Command”.

Comptroller Nnadi of the TICP and Comptroller Olomu of the Apapa Command were prominent among the officers awarded at the event in Abuja by the Comptroller-General of Customs, B.A Adeniyi. These two officers collectively head the Commands that collect as much as 60 percent of all the revenues accruable to the Nigeria Customs Service on annual basis.

Chief Chukwuma also prayed that the two performing officers may live long and healthy lives to be able to continue to give their best to the nation.
