The executive and entire members of the NDIGBOAMAKA PROGRESSIVE MARKETS ASSOCIATION have officially sent their condolences to the family of Late, Ogbonnaya Onu .
According to a press release signed by
Hon Comrade Chinedu Ukatu (FCISM), the current President of the association and made available to us “The news of the demise of one of the illustrious sons of Igboland, His Excellency Ogbonnaya Onu came to us as a big surprise and was indeed very shocking”.
“Chief Onu is a visionary and an exemplary leader. He was the first Governor of Abia State and a former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. His Excellency Ogbonnaya Onu had contributed immensely to the growth of the nation”.
His words “Even though he was 72yrs of age, his death is highly regrettable, we will surely miss his wealth of experience. His track records and achievements speak volumes about him and there is no doubt that we have lost a rare gem”.
“We pray that God grants his immediate family the fortitude to bear this huge loss and may his soul rest in the Bossom of the Lord”, the statement concludes.
