The Tin Can Island Port Command chapter of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has sent a message of congratulations to the Customs Area Controller of the Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Dera Anselm Nnadi on the choice of the Command as the pilot point of the recently launched Time Release Study in the country.
A press statement from the public relations officer of the chapter, Comrade Onome Monije says that “The chapter wishes to express its heartfelt joy at the choice of the Command with CAC Nnadi, a well known revenue guru and very efficient man manager as the Comptroller for this laudable achievement of Tin Can being the launchpad for the Time Release Study in the Nigeria Customs Service”.
She added that “We believe and trust in the avowed capability in his management team in doing an efficient job and getting it right in line with the global best practices while working with the World Customs Organisation’s (WCO’s) standard. Officially, Customs launched the Time Release Study on the 9th of February at the Marriott hotel, Ikeja where three Ministers, several heads of Agencies including the CG of Customs were present to put in their words of encouragement for the project”.
The Licensed Customs Agents are with this statement therefore calling on all stakeholders to always come up with the right declarations as the Customs goes deeper into modern paperless services where goods are cleared within 48hrs from the point of declaration through examination, releasing and delivering to warehouses of importers.
